Intimate at the CAA

The Gwalia were recently invited to perform at the CAA, Bedford Street. Founded in 1897 as the Concert Artistes’ Association to help concert artistes experiencing hardship, the CAA is today a thriving private members’ club for entertainment professionals. http://www.thecaa.org/

The small venue made for a very intimate engagement which meant that the choir had to be very disciplined. The audience were full of theatrical professionals who have a reputation of telling you if they didn’t think much of your performance. Thankfully they all gave the choir a standing ovation, were very effusive, and have invited us to perform at a different venue in the coming weeks.
