Busy Festive Week

As in previous years, December saw the Gwalia give a couple of festive pre-xmas performances in aid of various charities. The first at a very cold Paddington Station on December 7th which was in aid of 'The Samaritans'. where we collected a whopping £557.00 which is a great amount given the current challenging circumstances! This amount will help them answer 111 calls for help from people struggling to cope.

This was quickly followed the next evening, when we raised a similar amount for 'Shelter Cymru' from a delightful and very appreciative audience at the offices of Egon Zehender based in Victoria, who actively joined-in with the Carols and made some brave attempts at some of the Welsh hymns.

Just two days later, the choir were performing at the Town Hall Hotel, Bethnal Green, where the choir provided a short set of Welsh numbers to create a welcoming atmosphere prior to the start of the Wedding Reception celebrations of Richard and Laura Evans.

Thanks so much to all involved in what was a very busy week for us, especially in a week so close to Xmas.
